In 2004 I was asked by a realtor friend If I could do an estate sale for a client of hers, whose husband had been a collector for over 45 years and had recently passed away. Her client needed to empty the large house and barn so she could sell the property and move closer to her children. I gladly took on the challenge.

At the time I was selling antiques as “Checkered Past Antiques” , but discovered my real strengths were organizing and selling. So I gathered up all of the antiques in the mall spaces and auctioned them off and started Checkered Past Moving & Estate Sales. The business just continues to grow and I enjoy all of the people I have met on this journey.

In my spare time I volunteer. I have served on the board of directors for the “Friends of Willapa National Wildlife Refuge” and continue to volunteer by helping with the environmental education program. I also do a program called “Critter Talk”. I am a wildlife photographer and dabble in graphic design. I am also the editor of Friends quarterly newsletter.

I organize and display items so the buyers can easily shop.	I sell art, collectibles, tools and household items.
I sell antiques.	I’ll even sell your vehicles for you!
I sell special collections and find the buyers who want them. I have sold 4 tons of polished rock from a lapidary’s collection, and original rare art etchings.
